The Banshee Front

The year is 2161. An elite squad of NOVA, Earth's galactic force -- selected not only, as the public thinks, for their intelligence and skill, but also for the special abilities given them by genetic mutation -- has discovered a massive space station adrift in the Oort Cloud. The class is unknown, but it certainly can't have been Earth-based, and preliminary observations suggest that it has been abandoned for over a century. "The Banshee," as it becomes known, is the first hard evidence of other life in the Milky Way galaxy since NOVA's inception nearly 50 years ago, and the elite squad is ordered aboard to reconnoiter and to scavenge any technology that might prove useful.

It is only after they have boarded that they begin to pick up signs that the station may not be as abandoned as it originally appeared; only after they have attempted retreat that they discover the hatches are locked.
